foundation assembly
Please follow the instruction below to ensure you have a safe foundation for your new mattress system. Watch the video for step-by-step instructions.
STEP 1
Getting started
- Lay the SIDE RAILs and one END BEAM on the floor. Line-up both SIDE RAILs with the channels on the outside the END BEAM.
- Locate the two BOLTs, WASHERs, and WING-NUTs in the plastic bag.
- Insert two BOLTs through the holes found on both outside corners of the END BEAM. Finally, fit a WASHER and a WING-NUT onto each BOLT and tighten.
STEP 2
Assembling the center rail
- Place one end of the CENTER RAIL through the middle of the END BEAM. (There are no bolts necessary to secure this rail to the END BEAM.)
- Slide the other end of the CENTER RAIL into the middle of the 2nd END BEAM.
- Insert two BOLTs through the holes found on both outside corners of the END BEAM. Again, fit a WASHER and a WING-NUT onto each BOLT and tighten, just as in step one.
STEP 3
Assembling the position slats
- Place the roll of SLATS on top of the wooden structure at one end. Place the inside of the first SLAT on the outside of the pegs found at the ends (on top) of the SIDE RAILS.
- Unroll the SLATS across the top of the foundation and place the inside of the last SLAT outside of the pegs found on the opposite ends of the SIDE RAILS. (You may have to pull tight to get them to fit.)
STEP 4
Adding the cover
- Place the FOUNDATION DECK over the foundation then slip the COVER over the corner edges of the foundation with the fabric side facing out (don't try to pull the COVER down completely). Work one corner of the cover down an inch or two at a time. Repeat this process until the COVER is completely over the foundation. Lift the foundation onto it's side and pull the draw string tight.
- Your foundation is now complete and ready for use!
